Pousada Etnia is a beautiful boutique hotel set just off the main 'Quadrado' of Trancoso. The rooms and hotel are nestled between the lush tropical vegetation with a beautiful pool as the centre piece. It's a few minutes walk to the beach, but the location amongst the trees makes the place feel more intimate and exclusive (and it's also closer to the restaurant and boutique shops of the Quadrado).

The simply equipped but stylish rooms at Pousada Etnia are beautifully decorated. Each has its own distinctive style, though clean, Mediterranean-style white washed walls provide a common theme.

The two Italian owners will make sure you are very well looked after, with the service attentive and professional. The food here is also excellent and it's easy to spend hours lazing by the pool, even with the tropical beaches beckoning.
