1Overnight flight to Buenos Aires

2Your local Jacada guide will meet you in arrivals and bring you by private transfer to your hotel in the city. Check in for 2 nights. You have the evening at leisure to relax and settle in to Buenos Aires.

3Your guide will return to give you a private tour of the city, including Recoleta and La Boca, this will give you an insight into the culture and history of this amazing city. We'll make sure that you have a guide that suits your tastes.

4Private transfer to Buenos Aires Domestic Airport for your flight to Mendoza
In Mendoza, you’ll be met by our expert wine guide who we will have selected to your preference, whether you are completely new to the world of wine or a connoisseur, we’ll personalise a program exactly to your wishes and tastes. They’ll give you a brief orientation to the region before checking you into your hotel for 4 nights. You have the afternoon free to relax. You might wish to try one of the many excellent restaurants in the area this evening, you’ll have our list of recommendations before you arrive and we can help to arrange
reservations.

5Your guide will return in the morning to take you on a tour of the Maipo Valley wine area, we’ll have selected appropriate wineries in consultation with you. Typically you will visit three, having a wine-tasting at the end of each. Each has something different to add and we will build a varied program for you. At the end of the tastings we’ll bring you to one of the top bodegas of the region, Ruca Malen for a 5 course tasting lunch with specially paired wines. Enjoy a long, relaxed lunch before heading back to your hotel (perhaps time to enjoy the local custom of taking a siesta).

6-7Two days at leisure to take one of many optional activities. Perhaps a trip into the Andes (this region is where Seven Years in Tibet was filmed). For the more active you might try rafting or horse-riding whilst there is always still the option of relaxing in the sunshine and enjoying more excellent wine.

8-10You have 2 full days to relax and explore the idyllic surrounds of the Lake District. We haven’t included any tours in this plan but there are many optional activities you can organise such as kayaking, trekking, island adventures, boat trips on the lakes. Exploring the region by car is also great fun and there are some especially scenic routes to follow (we can arrange for a rental or a private driver and car depending on your preference). There are also some particularly good restaurants in this part of Argentina and you’ll have our book of recommendations to help.

12Your guide will meet you at the hotel and bring you for a full day private tour to see the amazing Perito Moreno glacier. Those wishing to be more adventurous could also try an optional ice trekking tour over the surface of the glacier itself.
